“Jesus Crawdad Death is a chapbook of Betsy Phillips’s short stories, in which pounding beers and discussing wrestling moves with the Son of God feels as natural and real as learning something heartbreaking and enraging about your significant other over brunch at IHOP — and there’s plenty more.” — The Nashville Scene
Jesus Crawdad Death is the third publication in Third Man Books’ limited edition chapbook series. Phillips’s collection features three speculative fiction stories spanning Jesus as a professional wrestler, the romance between a woman and her creek, and conversations between Death, the ghosts of St. Francis of Assisi, William Faulkner, and Willam Gay.
